Competition Process

Registration

Students register individually or as a team (1–5 members) through the official online registration form. Teams provide their project details and participant information before the deadline.

Idea Generation

+

Participants identify a real-world problem and brainstorm an innovative solution. The idea should create value for society, education, business, healthcare, or any other field.

Prototype Development

+

Teams transform their idea into a working prototype using AI, programming, no-code, low-code, or any modern technology. Innovation and practicality are more important than complexity.

Video Submission

+

Each team submits a demonstration video explaining the problem they identified, their solution, how the prototype works, the technologies used, and the potential impact of the project.

Judging

+

A panel of judges evaluates all submissions based on innovation, creativity, problem-solving, technical implementation, real-world impact, and presentation quality.

Finalist Selection

+

The highest-scoring projects are shortlisted as finalists and officially announced by the organizing committee.

Grand Showcase

+

Selected finalists will be invited to showcase their projects at TechFusion – TechDay 2026, organized by the Faculty of Technology, Trinity College Kandy, where they will present their innovations to judges, sponsors, educators, industry professionals, and visitors.

Championship & Awards

After the final evaluation, winners will be announced and awarded titles such as Champion, Runner-Up, and Emerging Champion, along with certificates and sponsor prizes where applicable.
